Alayna Wort

Alayna “Lain” Wort grew up in the South Bend-Elkhart region, where she has spent much of her academic and professional careers. In 2021, she graduated from Bethel University (IN) with dual degrees in Philosophy and Biblical Studies. She moved to the East Bank in South Bend after graduation and began working for Unity Gardens.
Her work with Unity Gardens, and in countries like Fiji and South Africa, nurture her desire to develop relationships with community members. She demonstrates her dedication to communities by being diligent in researching and understanding problems, analyzing for solutions, and exciting solutions. Alayna is joining enFocus to develop her skills in data analysis, strategic planning, and other areas of the civic portfolio. She is thrilled to begin work with government organizations, school corporations, and other regional partners.
In her spare time, Alayna is an aspiring runner, avid coffee guru, chaos coordinator, beginning knitter, adventure-seeker, and world traveler. Her greatest fear in life is falling. She actively confronts her fear by pursuing opportunities like zip-lining, free-falling, sky-diving, or climbing tall ladders.
