David Saleh
Civic Innovation Fellow
David was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. In 2025, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Indiana University South Bend, graduating with honors and the highest distinction. During his time at IUSB, he held several student leadership roles, including serving as Student Body Vice President and President of the Muslim Student Association. He also represented both the university and the state of Indiana as a recipient of the prestigious Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship.
David is deeply passionate about promoting justice, reducing violence, and improving lives through direct service, mentoring, policy advocacy, community outreach, and political engagement. At enFocus, he aims to leverage his experiences to support civil impact projects in healthcare, government, and education. He is also eager to launch initiatives that drive innovative, community-centered solutions to advance equity and opportunity across the region through enFocus’s Research, Development & Entrepreneurship Projects.
Giving back to his community is a core value for David. He volunteers with both religious and nonprofit organizations, including the Islamic Society of Michiana and the South Bend Wrestling Club. He also serves in the Indiana Army National Guard as a Logistics and Transportation Sergeant. Outside of service, David enjoys quality time with loved ones, traveling to new destinations, staying active through regular workouts, and cheering on the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium.
